On Saturday, FANTASTIC FORUM traveled to Annapolis, Maryland for the Annapolis Comic Con – Halloween Edition! Our friends at Awesome Cons run this show along with the Southern Maryland Comic Con and the upcoming Awesome Convention in Washington, DC in April 2013. Awesome Cons knows what they’re doing so it’s always a good time. You can learn more about the upcoming show by visiting their website at: www.awesomecons.com
I was the official convention emcee this time around. I got to make the announcements, ran the raffles and served as the master of ceremonies for both the children and adult costume contests.
I also got to meet some really cool cosplayers who are part of a group called the East Coast Avengers.
I had originally planned to ride out to Darlington, MD on Sunday to check out a 5K Zombie infested obstacle course race known as Run For Your Lives. But sadly, Hurricane Sandy caused me to rethink the journey. Darlington is about 80 miles from my base of operations in Washington, DC and rain had started to fall in the area surrounding Baltimore and to the north. But the event is held regularly across the country so perhaps we’ll get another crack at attending.
And I finished editing the 2012 Summer Movie Round-up episode #40 last week. That installment of our program has been delivered to most of the stations carrying Fantastic Forum. It will premiere on Arlington Independent Media (AIM) next week after which it shall be available for online viewing.
Keep watching, the best is yet to come!
