Time Warp Mode engaged! June 28, 2014 – Host Devon Sanders and I visited Third Eye Comics in Annapolis, MD today. Steve Anderson of Third Eye had arranged for an in-store event featuring artist/writer Paul Pope. Pope is an alternative comics artist/writer who is best known for work on his own imprint, Horse Press, as well as DC Comics and its Vertigo imprint. Pope didn’t give an interview but Devon and I both got pictures with him.
It was another great event for Third Eye Comics. If you’re not familiar with them you need to treat yourself. Owner Steve Anderson is one of a kind. Third Eye is BIG on customer service like I’ve never seen. I actually saw Steve rip the shrink wrap off a bound edition to allow a perspective customer to examine the book. Comics retailers JUST DON’T DO THAT! But Steve does. And Third Eye has also been a sponsor for The Annapolis Comic Con and The Southern Maryland Comic Con. Check ’em out.
