I’ve been in full geek mode for the past several days with the opening of Marvel’s THE AVENGERS movie followed by Free Comic Book Day 2012. Billie Rae Bates and I visited Cards, Comics & Collectibles in Reisterstown, Maryland. Owner, Marc Nathan, pulled out the stops for the annual industry wide promotion. In attendance to delight the crowd of fans were creators Steve Conley (Bloop) and John Gallagher (Buzzboy) as well as Top Cow Productions, Inc. publisher Filip Sablik.
I got pictures with local cosplayers and Billie Rae conducted interviews that you’ll see in our upcoming FCBD episode. In addition to owning CCC, Marc Nathan is the organizer of THE BALTIMORE COMIC CON. This amazing regional show is entering its 13th year this September! Billie Rae got Marc to give up the inside scoop on this not-to-be-missed event that has grown into one of the nation’s premiere comic conventions.
